One of the more powerful methods is simply to bang some absurd idiom into the listener’s mind by coupling it with incredibly simplistic and repetitive rhythms. This is actually a form of direct mental engineering.

We expect it from scientists or tyrants, from masters or overlords… but it comes from regular humans, driven by a culture that demands stupidity as an answer to and for agony.

In accordance with this demand, artists produce forms that actively attack and replace not only intellectual intelligence, but relational intelligence as well.

Effectively, modern pop music is a mind-bomb. It creates the clichés that lead to crime, violence, abuse, victimhood, subjugation, and stupidity.

It enforces and concretizes these clichés in our lives and culture with incredible spectacles involving sex, aggrandized hate, violence, and inspid models of reality whose offerings are so impoverished than anyone who would accept them would be destroyed by them.

The resulting ‘music’ hardly qualifies. A machine masturbating would be more interesting — and far less dangerous.”
