If ancient humans built the pyramids they are a marvel, an absolute and lasting symbol of human ingenuity and achievement.

On the other hand if a highly advanced civilization built them they are pretty disappointing, I mean we can do much better than that now and we are a LONG ways away from intergalactic travel.
