As the subject of our simulations is ourselves, (for indeed, what other subject could there be?) we are extremely vulnerable to and almost perfectly unconscious of the fact that we become like what we use, and thus, we may, in time, over long exposure, prefer the specter of mechanical reduction to ourselves, reality, living beings, or even survival.

The most deadly danger that arises from this is the most universally present — language. Anyone who has delved deeply into the relationships between mind, identity and language has seen that the former will gladly follow the latter into unconscionable — and catastrophic flatness. That is to say: the cruel or arbitrary disposal of meaningful dimensionality… as it may apply to meaning, space, form, identity, value or disposition.

It turns out that it is we who are plastic, not our objects. We are remade in the likeness of our creations, and have not yet understood this sufficiently to protect ourselves from the ramifications of this, let alone take advantage of them.
