It is not enough to differ from the toxic norm. One must differ in precisely the ways that deeply matter and develop the momentum peculiar to those seemingly divine forces that occasionally descend to heal human minds and history. To oppose oneself to stupidity is too often stupid. This is, in part, because the choice to reach for actual intelligence and awareness does not lie ‘in comparison’ to some other thing. It exists in its own right, shape, voice, and spirit.
