You will not be served by having faith in that which you cannot detect, but in enjoying direct, two-way contact with that with which faith would be your only other option for relation.

The problem with faith is that it can and will happily make little endless models of what remains absent from direct relational experience. These then become obstructions by luring us to preserve and defend them. All of that is completely unnecessary.

Faith is what you get when you don’t actually have community, experience, understanding, or agreement. Nevermind faith. Let us return and awaken to each other’s lives, hearts and minds… and re-establish community.

We do not require central organizing faith-stories for this. We never actually did, but I will admit they are great for generating and sustaining reckless furor or integral group identity bonds. What we need, in every case, is contact. With each other, the world, nature, other living beings, and whatever those stories might have been about… so very long ago.

Nevermind faith. Contact. Now.
