I am extremely interested in representational paradigms that form or become actively heuristic in application; particularly those which tend, by their nature, to lead rapidly beyond themselves. Some of these may be rigorously formal. Mathematics is perhaps the primary garden from which we may draw such benefits. But not all deep knowledge is formal, and many of the richest and most astonishing aspects of thought and relation cannot be formalized in any way, although something of their spirit may be captured or communicated through means such as language, theater, poetics, speech, and other familiar transports of expression and thought and experience. I am interested in the ways of knowing and relation that become our richest and most provocative explorations of intelligence enacted… or developed… and in nearly every case these are ways and experiences of relation. They are, in the final analysis, intimacies.
