There are forms of sensing, understanding and communication which only become accessible to us during certain modes of emotional flow.

Effectively: »some feelings grant us access to nonordinary ways of sensing, understanding, communicating, acting, and knowing».

As if there are networks of possibility where peculiar emotional states act as both a password and activation element. These emotional modes grant access to the potential to cross distances and relate in ways that we have been told are impossible or mystical. The nature of the phenomenon is not really the issue. Its existence is real, and we are embodiments of these principles. In effect we are ‘their animation-bodies’.

Our cultures grossly inhibit our awareness of these matters; we are not conscious of the spectrum of emotional possibilities or what they can accomplish, so we instead experience them as their victims. Emotions ‘happen to us’, and we largely experience being the ‘place’ of their occurrence.

How strange that we have forgotten our power to shape and potentiate our emotional faculties – yes, faculties — in ways that extend themselves into nonordinary sensing and action potentials.

This was often our lived experience… before… the whole mess inverted and our languages and emotions mastered us… and we became their conservators… and slaves.
