I must suggest that Dr. Einstein’s goal in his public writings was not the ceaseless distribution of quotations (sans context) traded as vague social commodities.
Although Einstein may once have said (in a context that quotations discard) that “logic will get you from A to B but imagination will take you everywhere,” it should be immediately clear that quoting this as if it comprises some sort of communicable encapsulated insight is neither logical nor imaginative.
This act does not result in insight.
Those who do not yet understand the implications of his statement will not be enlightened by reading these words.
Those who already understand them will probably be annoyed… and here lies the rub.
