These ancient tattoos strongly suggest that the cultures from which they emerge actually thought of animals as the embodied character of -something flowing- like a water or liquid… as if… terrestrial time-space was a puddle, whose waves, evoked by ‘spirit wind of ancients and gods’, became beings… that the beings were, in fact, still the waves… that their root was fluid, not solid… and their meanings were powers, not functions…
