There is a simple and confusing reason why many visionaries become addicted to the apocalypse: when you first ascend beyond time’s bubble, you are not terrified by the beginning … but the end and its crises are everywhere apparent. These are not necessarily real in any way. They represent the chaos at the barrier where time and timelessness meet. But the humans who sense this barrier cannot discern this… and so… they are endlessly certain that ‘the end is coming.’ Factually, it isn’t. It was simply there all along and no one could discern it except, perhaps, in nightmares and the eyes of soldiers, police, and politicians.
