In Gebser’s Book ‘The Ever-Present Origin’ he discusses some rather sophisticated perspectives (pun intended) on the evolution of human consciousness and its relation to perspectivity; specifically our relationship to dimensionality and its correlations in phases of consciousness — how, for example, the extrusion of our awareness into the world of 3 dimensions (around Da Vinci’s time) was the hallmark of the emergence of the current ‘mental’ age. I here reproduce an interesting portion of his monumentally sophisticated ‘synoptic table’ for your consideration. I should probably point out that what he means by aperspectival is something like a diaphany of time/space… such that many or all perspectives are simultaneously present to awareness. (something like this).
