I always thought I was so brave to handle bees and bumblebees barehanded (never been stung that way either). But I was talking with my friend @[1527489271:2048:Sarah] yesterday and when she said, ‘Oh, wait a moment, there’s a wasp in here.’, I expected the common panic and weaponizing that ordinarily results from such human apperception. She came back a few moments later and I asked what happened. She calmly replied ‘I put the wasp out.’ I asked: ‘How’? She replied: ‘With my hands, of course.’!!! After questioning her for quite some time I realized she actually handles wasps barehanded without concern. She had cupped the wasp between her palms and taken it outside in her hands… So much for my ‘bold courage’ with bees. The chances of me attempting to handle one of these bare-handed are slim; however, I have fed one I was tending from the tip of my fingernail … once…
