As we age, we are wont to return to places where we experienced our developmental milestones. This is, in part, because these places are part of our minds. They are like the soul’s ‘pages’, and they do, indeed, hold ‘information’ — but this is not mere data… it is relational, spiritual, and fundamental to our person. In visiting these places, a effulgent resonance occurs, which cannot be described or reduced to words because it is preverbal, complete, natural, and profound. Those of us who can visit these places and find them undestroyed will prosper from these experiences. Those of us who cannot, are, in a real sense, ‘temporally homeless’.
