There are these interesting moments in Road Runner cartoons where a number is prominently (if briefly) displayed. The first I noticed is in Beep Beep – where the caboose of the train that runs over the coyote at the end is numbered 493. The next, in Going Going Gosh is a stake outside the Coyote’s apparent cave: 875.

Then there are other stakes in other cartoons, in seemingly random moments, bearing the numbers 936, 707, and 757. Curiouser and curiouser. Since most of those involved are dead, I suspect it will be difficult to track down the intended implications. But I may try. My first suspicion is references to Kabbalism, possibly via Freemasonry…
