We conveniently forget that our entertainment costs lives. ‘Avatar’ was a vaguely interesting film… but it accomplished the opposite of its message. Nobody pays any attention to the fact that making, distributing, watching, copying, transmitting, packaging, renting, and shipping films costs actual living beings. Some of them human. I think it would be overwhelmingly powerful to see the actual accounting data on everything that died so we could watch Avatar…
