Honestly, I could not hope to imagine anything as irreconcilably impossible as the natural world, but when I add the ridiculously absurd overlays of human history and culture, I find that the world we awaken to each morning is catastrophically less likely than those I experience when dreaming.
At least the dreaming worlds have the dignity to be of relatively simple structure, remain purely subjective, and fade upon awakening. But the waking world is far stranger and more sophisticated than any dream… and for this reason… I doubt it, with great passion and as deeply as it goes.
