One of the reasons Facebook is so popular is precisely because it is personal; the news, magazines, media, fashion, and business have become so toxic and tedious that we naturally turn to one another for relief, refreshment, inspiration, and learning. The great vapidity of the majority of media has resulted in a confusing exchange where we become the media, and the media, in turn, becomes the target of our critique and opprobrium.
