It is tragic that we find ourselves so utterly immersed in toxic culture that our actual relationship to intelligence is like people who live in a desert that is everywhere imaged as water. We drink sand, our thirst increases.

We style ourselves the sovereigns of moisture, ‘the kings of wetness’… when most of us would need a diaper if anything like a drink of water actually showed up in our minds… or, perish the thought… in our political systems.
