The character and activities of a nation’s soldiers and police represent the approximate character of that nation’s ethical frameworks, its intelligence and the nature of its regard for its own constituents. In our case, the police (with some few notable exceptions) are essentially thugs and rapists looking for any opportunity to egregiously abuse their authority. They celebrate this after-hours with talk that reduces people to objects of abuse. Most find this behavior hilarious. They think of us as sport.

Now, if these are the servants, billed as ‘heroic protectors’, kindly take a moment to imagine their masters.
