I had the pleasure of seeing a few of these events in my childhood, in the farming environments of the San Joaquin county in Cali. Once, in the afternoon, the entire sky (in a terrain that was flat for as far as you could see) went -black- with birds. It was as if night came, in a moment, and then passed again. I suspect the event lasted about 15 seconds.
Long ago, our ancestors regularly witnessed this and many similar phenomenon.
Why would we believe that we can be human without these aspects of our ancient evolutionary relationships and experiences? Can you hear the sounds these girls are making behind the music? Sounds of awe, shock, joy and wonder.
Tell me, if you dare, what have we received in return for the horrible price of our spurious ‘mastery’ (read: egregious omnicidal abuse) of Nature?
