Our cultural intelligence works like somebody with a bizarre sensitivity to their own blood flow. They can sort of handle the idea that they have blood inside them, but are preternaturally horrified by the idea that it flows.
Unfortunately, this fear not only fails to still the flow of blood… it causes more furious flow, and magnifies their ability to sense this flow dramatically… …and the result is a form of distributed, recursively self-ramifying hysteria… which is happily masquerading as intelligence.
Oh, by the way. Happy Halloween…
…where the trick -=is=- the treat.
