There’s a place inside us where the rivers run free; where pollution is unknown, where fellowship isn’t a goal, but a way of life.

Where mutual respect and aid is given with the same enthusiasm with which wealth or acclaim is received. Where anyone can have a lifetime of education without incurring debt.

Where those who are sick receive careful treatment, and those who are hungry are fed. Where everyone has a place to live.

Inside us there’s a place where police are allies to those in need instead of sadistic mercenaries employed to insure the rights of property and its owners. Where war is too expensive and horrific to consider, let alone fund.

There’s a place in our hearts where the living beings of Earth comprise our own extended bodies and minds — just as we comprise an extension of their dreams and histories.

In our minds and hearts — in our dreams, we carry the seeds of a brighter and more fulfilling future than any vision we have yet sustained.

We have a choice. We can obey the models of what it means to be human that are destroying our nations and world — models that are we and our children are constantly compelled to emulate and obey…

… or, together, we can shape the world outside us toward the visions that we carry within.

Are we really -that- afraid to get together?
