Part of the reason we do not continue to produce world-shattering genius like that of Einstein (which we all expected would recur) is that our relationships with language and knowledge are so cognitively expensive that they effectively stifle the prodigy we all arrive ready to express. The ‘flow’ resources which would otherwise express as raw prodigy are co-opted for the defense and nurturence of frozen tokens and methods.
