Some of the sea maps of our ancestors are filled with giant monsters who were known to dwell in the oceans. Encounters were surely as portentious as their instigators were mysterious. But since the seas of Earth were one body, and the skies above another, they clearly surmised that beings whose ‘size’ eclipsed our greatest monuments — dwelt ˚beyond˚, in the upper and lower waters.
