Science presents the genome as a largely chance-assembled coding language. They do not believe that it has any intrinsic meaning, or purpose. The first humans granted access to changing the planetary genome were corporate profiteers. They modified fundamental food crops to include resistance to pesticides and poisons of their manufacture. The result was a cataclysm beyond any possible imagining.
