While children and teens are often easy to reach with novel ideas and inspirations, adults can be stubbornly myopic in part due to the blindness that dogma and membership heaps liberally upon us. This can be ‘locked in place’ with a special glue: the jadedness that often accompanies the many hardships leading to whatever sense of ‘maturity’ we manage to establish.
