I am trying to think of a way to assemble something like a superposition of human stupidity, hubris, hatred and ignorance — but then I realize they beat me to it. It’s called ‘the justice system’. Its instances are books, courts and prisons. Lawyers, judges and armed police are its body. The active or passive support of the common person is its food. It eats lives and worlds, pretending to heroism.
