It is hard to understand how a single symbol could encode more information than the cross. The horizontal is the material female, the vertical the heavenly male. She draws him down, ‘fixing’ his otherwise liberal vector and motion. Generality draws specificity. With rare exception, human relationships poorly approximate this… but this is not even the beginning.
