It is amazing what happens to one in any kind of real isolation: the powers of the body and mind transform utterly, awaken, and — in so many ways — arise for the first time. Having never known them, at first they seem like alien strangers, demons, angels. Then, with a little time, that too falls away — perhaps not entirely, and yet… they all find their source.
