Avatar is a problem for me because: 1. It’s purpose is profit. Profit (commercially) means this: do a bunch of damage, and hide it. It’s lying about this, openly. 2. It’s selling us a fiction of Nature and a possible-self fantasy that are both shockingly less than Nature and you — but are made to seem ‘magical’ by of how the film manipulates our injuries, and our dreams.
