I usually think that people interested in AI haven’t realized that ‘I’ doesn’t exist yet. They’re like people who want to make bombs before fire has been discovered. Why don’t we see if we can establish something a bit more like actual intelligence in human cultures first. Then, perhaps, we can think about simulating it.
